Chyavanprash is a traditional Ayurvedic fruit puree, the original recipe of which was recorded over 2000 years ago in the Ayurvedic classic «Charaka Samhita». An essential ingredient of Chyavanprash is Amla (Emblica officinalis, Amalaki, Indian gooseberry). Amla is said to have a balancing effect on all three doshas - Vata, Pittaand Kapha– said to be. The harmonious, sweet and sour taste makes Chyanvanprash a delicious, healthy food.
