Ashta (Hingvashtaka) powder
Ashta Churnam is known for its intense stimulation of the Agni (digestive fire) without causing excessive heat (although it is slightly warming). It has a special regulating effect on the Vayu (movement) of the Maha-Nadi (alimentary canal). Due to its loosening and purgative properties, it is effective for complaints such as abdominal swelling, cramps, or intestinal gas. It can also be used to detoxify or cleanse the intestines and to support the fight against worms and fungi.
Special care is required when using the powder for heartburn!
