Ashwagandha capsules
Ashvagandha (Withania somnifera, Ashwagandha, winter cherry, Indian ginseng) is one of the most important plants in Ayurveda. Its name means "that which has the smell of a horse" and, according to Ayurvedic tradition, is said to promote vitality and strength. The plant is used in many ways in Ayurveda as a Rasayana and is considered to be particularly beneficial for Ojas and Sattva.
For Ashvagandha, the bitter, astringent roots are collected, dried and ground, either as a single preparation or as part of a variety of recipes. Ashvagandha balances Vata and Kapha. The finely ground powder is made from high-quality roots that have been dried at low temperatures (below 42°C) to preserve the valuable ingredients.
