Our cocoa comes from the rare Arriba Nacional variety, which is considered an heirloom in Ecuador. With only 1% of the total cocoa production in Ecuador, this cocoa offers unique floral and spicy aromas that set it apart from other varieties. These complex taste experience is exacerbated by the loss of flavours in modern GMO cocoas, which are homogeneous and higher yielding but less intense in flavour.
