Our cacao comes from the Arriba Nacional variety, a rare and valuable heirloom strain that accounts for only 1% of Ecuador's total cacao production. This variety is known for its floral aromas and sharp flavor notes, offering a complex and vibrant taste experience. Compared to common GMO cacao varieties, which are more homogeneous and higher-yielding but less aromatic and nutritious, Arriba Nacional cacao offers a more intense and unique flavor.
