Our cacao comes from the rare Arriba Nacional variety, considered a heritage in Ecuador. Accounting for only 1% of Ecuador's total cacao production, this cacao offers unique floral and spicy aromas that set it apart from other varieties. This complex taste experience is further enhanced by the loss of aromas in modern GMO cacaos, which are homogeneous and more productive but less intense in flavor.
