What is Pippali Asava?
Pippali Asava is an Ayurvedic fermented drink that strengthens the digestive fire Agni and purifies the shrotas (body channels). It is based on Pippali (long pepper), an important rasayana that acts gently on the Pitta dosha and supports metabolism.
Special features of Pippali
Pippali became known in Europe before black pepper. The long, black-green fruits of this pepper are responsible for its strong but mild spiciness. Pippali Asava also contains various types of pepper and tried-and-tested spices, which are combined with grape juice in an aqueous extract to promote strong Agni and healthy digestion. The taste is spicy and tart, slightly sweet and ideal as a digestif.
