Ashwagandha capsules
Ashvagandha (Withania somnifera, ashwagandha, winter cherry, sleepberry, Indian ginseng) is one of the most important plants in Ayurveda. Its name means “that which has the smell of a horse” and, according to Ayurvedic tradition, is said to promote vitality and strength. The plant has many uses in Ayurveda as Rasayana . It is considered to promote Ojas and increase Sattva.
For this purpose, the bitter, tart roots are collected, dried and ground as a single preparation or used as part of a wide variety of recipes. Ashvagandha balances Vata and Kapha. High-quality Ashvagandha roots dried at low temperatures (below 42°C) are used for the finely ground powder. This gentle and controlled drying ensures that the valuable ingredients are preserved.
