Agnihotra Cow dung
Agnihotra is the simplest fire technique of Homa therapy. It underlies all other methods of Homa therapy and follows the principle:
"Heal the atmosphere and the atmosphere will heal you."
Agnihotra is performed precisely at sunrise and sunset. Traditionally, a pyramid-shaped copper bowl is used, in which cow dung is burned as smoke.
Although this simple technique only requires about ten minutes in the morning and evening, the effects are quite remarkable: Our atmosphere is purified on various levels, making us calmer and more balanced; plants thrive and are more resistant to all kinds of diseases; animals feel comfortable, and we help to cleanse the environment within a certain radius.
Dried cow dung is used for the Agnihotra fire.
In all ancient cultures, whether among the Indians of North or South America, in Scandinavia, Eastern or Western Europe, Africa or Asia, cow dung is regarded everywhere as a medicinal substance with strong disinfecting and detoxifying effects.
Through the process of Agnihotra, cow dung, ghee, and rice are combined to create a spirit that rises into the atmosphere, neutralizing negativity and simultaneously providing nourishment for all life. Crop yields increase, and Mother Earth is restored to harmony with the cosmos.
