Pippali energizes and cleanses the body and is an important Rasayana in Ayurveda.
Piper Longum (Indian long pepper), the fruits containing piper stimulate digestion and the respiratory tract, energize and cleanse the body and are considered a rejuvenating agent in Ayurveda. Along with black pepper and ginger powder, Pippali is used to make Trikatu - the main stimulant used in Ayurveda. It rejuvenates Agni, burns Ama and promotes absorption of nutrients.
