Drinking cup hammered copper
Since ancient times, Ayurveda has advocated the benefits of drinking copper water. According to Ayurveda, if you store water in a copper vessel for a period of 4-12 hours (preferably overnight), the water will naturally become alkaline. This happens because the copper vessel positively charges and energizes the water, making the water “alive” again. This also makes it taste silky smooth. The charged copper water helps balance the body's Tridosha (Vata, Kapha and Pitta). In Ayurveda, this transformed therapeutic water taken from a copper vessel is called “Tamra Jal”.
We recommend only storing still water in your single-layer copper mug.
Cleaning tips:
- Add a tablespoon of citric acid powder or descaler powder to the copper bottle. Pour in hot water and let it stand for a few minutes. Shake well and rinse. Your copper bottle will shine like new from the inside out.
- Do not clean or scrub the outside of the bottle. The paint layer could peel off.
- Hand wash recommended, not suitable for dishwashers.
