Whole cumin jeera
Always use cumin sparingly, but often - it's worth experimenting! From vegetables, legumes, meat, cheese to yogurt, cumin can be used everywhere. The cumin fruits can be dry-roasted, crushed and sprinkled over eggplants, beetroot, cauliflower or root vegetables, for example. Cumin should never be missing from Indian chutneys, tagines, dals, lentil stews, hummus and falafel doughs. Briefly fried in ghee, the cumin seeds develop their typical spicy taste.
