Hemp oil
This cold-pressed oil from the seeds of Peruvian hemp plants is particularly suitable for rough, inflamed and flaky skin, such as neurodermatitis. It spreads easily on the skin and is quickly absorbed. Since hemp oil is a drying oil, only a small proportion of around 10% is usually added to mixtures with other vegetable oils
Hemp oil is known for its versatile health-promoting effects. It strengthens the immune system, has a hormonal and stress-balancing effect, promotes new cell formation, lowers cholesterol levels and protects the vessels from arteriosclerosis. It is suitable for internal and external use. If you have skin problems, it is recommended to take it to support the body's own repair system.
The particularly favorable ratio of essential Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids (3:1) as well as its content of rare gamma-linolenic acids make this hemp oil particularly valuable. The oil owes its strong green color to the high chlorophyll content. Since its smell and taste are herbaceous and intense, it can be combined well with milder oils.
Application:
The oil can be applied undiluted to the desired skin areas. In massage oils, hemp oil should be mixed with other care oils as it is a dry oil and is absorbed into the skin very quickly. It doesn't leave a greasy film.
Tip: If you have rough hands or rashes, hemp oil can be a savior in an emergency. Apply to the affected areas morning and evening undiluted or in combination with essential oil such as rose geranium or immortelle.
